Hi folks, Today we took a bit of a deeper look into light and began our unit on optics. We will do more with optics next week. For homework this week…I've changed my mind. :) Remember that extra credit assignment I was talking about in class, well let's make it homework with extra credit possibilities. Here's the scoop. Take a look at this article by Randal Monroe from his What If blog. https://what-if.xkcd.com/3/ You'll see how he uses different physics concepts and applies them to real world things even though the situation is fictional. (Unless somewhere out there Yoda really is hanging out on some swamp planet…it's possible.) Now you do it. Pick any book, movie, comic or video game and apply some of the things we've learned this year. I've included one of my ex-students papers for example. It's very good be sure to take a look. For homework, Apply at least 5 different physics concepts to the situation. ...

For those of you who missed this week, this should give you enough information to do the homework questions related to the lab work.
